Isaiah 35:8

This prophecy applies to the sacred land of Allāh and His ancient House, which is Mecca Al-Mukarramah, the city of the Prophet Muḥammad. This is where he was born, where the Qur’ān was revealed to him, and it is the qiblah (direction of prayer) that Muslims face in their prayers.

The unclean, the impure, and the unbeliever do not go to it, it is for the purified. Purity here means the purity of Islam and faith in Allāh. Anyone who is not a Muslim is not permitted to pass through Makka.

This aligns with the saying of the Almighty in the Noble Qur’ān: “O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Ḥarām after this, their [final] year.” [At-Tawbah (The Repentance), 9:28].

For believers, going to Mecca and worshipping there brings tranquility to the heart, spiritual reassurance, and psychological calm. It is a refuge for hearts and a destination for the feelings of believers from all over the world, throughout the year. This fulfills the prayer of the Prophet Abraham (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him): “Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.” [Ibrāhīm (Abraham), 14:37]. The sacred House is the Ka‘aba.

Moreover, the path to it is easy, because everyone knows it. Even the person ignorant of the way can easily ask and find the route. 107
