The meaning of (al-Mu‘azzī / The Comforter) in the Arabic language is the helper, and in the Christian dictionary it means the helper, the guide, and the intercessor. This glad tiding is a reference to Prophet Muḥammad who will come after the Messiah to guide them to the truth, and thus he would have helped the Messiah and those before him among the prophets in calling to the worship of Allāh alone. In this way, they will attain eternal happiness and rest in Paradise.
Likewise, he is a comforter to people because he guides them to the worship of Allāh and warns them against polytheism in His worship.
In addition, his saying: (that he may abide with you forever) — he did not intend the abiding of his own person, but rather the abiding of his religion and his law forever.
