This text clarifies that the Messiah pointed to a prophet who would come after him, and that he will purify the hearts of people with what the revelation dictates to him, which is the Qur’ān, and that is through the Holy Spirit (ar-Rūḥ al-Qudus), who is the angel Gabriel whom Allāh sends with the Waḥy [revelation] to His Prophet Muḥammad.
As for his saying (and with fire); it points to the warning against the fire of Hell which will burn the sinners and those walking the path that angers Allāh, Exalted be He, and who commit His disobediences and leave His commands.
