In the Book of Psalms (111:5-10, Van Dyck Version), the Prophet David says:
“5. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. “6. He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the nations. “7. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. “8. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. “9. He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.”

The verses indicate Allāh’s spiritual and physical care for those who fear Him, for He does not forget His covenant. He granted His Prophet Muḥammad and the believers the heritage of the earth as He had promised, because they fulfilled Allāh’s covenant. They applied the teachings of the Qur’ān, spreading Islam throughout the world, and nations entered into its religion in crowds.
The glad tiding also indicates that His precepts are surely forever. This applies only to the religion of Islam. Other laws change and are altered; for instance, in every era, a new edition of the Old and New Testaments is published, with additions, deletions, and corrections.
The teachings of Islam are an eternal covenant. If Islam were not the eternal religion, people would need a new prophet, a new book, and a new religion. This is unnecessary because Islam remains preserved as it is until the Day of Judgment, so there is no need for a new religion.
All of this necessitates glorifying and worshipping Allāh, for He is holy and His name is to be held in awe.
