Psalms 94:12-15

This text means that Allāh blesses the man whom He chastened and taught His law, and protects him from evils, because the Lord, Exalted be He, is merciful. He does not cast off His people, meaning He does not leave them without guidance and direction, and this is from Allāh’s justice and wisdom. This blessing, expressed by the phrase (Blessed), encompasses all people, men and women, because the phrase (Blessed) implies comprehensive blessing from Allāh for whoever He chastens and teaches His law.

This description, even if it encompasses many people, also includes the prophets specifically the Prophet Muḥammad. Allāh chastened him, as He said about him in the Qur’ān: “And indeed, you are of a great moral character.” [Al-Qalam (The Pen), 68:4]. Allāh did not create a blessed man more than him; so his attributes are great, and his acts of worship are great, as is known to anyone who has read his biography fairly and objectively.

Likewise, Allāh revealed to him the last of His laws, which is the law of Islam. This encompasses the merits of the laws before it and more, and He revealed to him the best of His books, which is the Qur’ān, which encompasses the merits of the books before it and more. Then, Allāh preserved the Qur’ān, so it did not change and was not altered, as the Almighty said: “Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’ān and indeed, We will be its guardian.” [Al- Ḥijr (The Rocky Tract), 15:9].

For this reason, people transfer to his religion if they understand it well. Currently, global statistics indicate that the religion with the highest number of people converting to it is Islam. For this reason also; Allāh chose Muḥammad to be the last of the prophets, his religion the last of the religions, and his book the last of the books.

In conclusion, the Prophet Muḥammad is the referent of the aforementioned glad tidings, even if he is not specifically referred to by name.
